A Very DIY Christmas

This year, I tried my best to do a DIY Christmas gift for almost everyone. I didn't succeed on a few, but for the most part everyone got something that I made. I love giving DIY gifts for any occasion and I love getting DIY gifts! Here are a few things I came up with to give as gifts for friends, little cousins and brother!

I love hand stamping things even though I am not that good at it yet. My little cousins love things with their names on it... so that is just what they got! They were so excited about them! That is part of the reason I love giving things I make ... its so fun to see them excited over something that I created and something they know was made just for them and no one else! They are not perfect by any means, but it adds character in my opinion! haha I have a few more things that I am really excited about, but I haven't gave them to their new owners yet ... but, once I do I will post more pictures!

Merry Christmas!!!

Wishing you and your family a very wonderful and blessed Christmas season.

Merry Christmas!

Love,
Brenna and Lucy

Christmas Jammies

IT'S CHRISTMAS JAMMIES TIME!

So, what! maybe I have a problem. I don't really classify it as a problem considering the little thing likes having clothes on in the winter! I can't help it if they make such things as Christmas jammies and OSU jerseys for her to wear. Girl has to be in style! ;) I will admit, however, that I like making her match the occasions, holidays, events, myself, etc. Just think what my kids are going to be like! Yikes!

I can't say she looooved her jammies, but I won't say she hated them either. She hasn't found a way to take them off yet, so I am going to chalk this one up as a love. She even got a new collar tag and a new Christmas collar.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Blog Friends!!!

Bows and Button Earrings

Today, Lucy and I ventured out to take a few Christmas pictures in the ice. However, Lucy is not the best dog to photograph. Sometimes you can trick her into looking at the camera by saying "Papa and Nana" or meowing like a cat... But, not today of course. She wouldn't look no matter what noises her Gma was making. We only took a few because Lucy was starting to shake and I must admit ... it was quite cold out there! Tomorrow we shall try again ... But, here are a couple that at least showcase a couple of the things I make and sell!

The bow is very multi-purpose ... could be used like shown here as a dog collar accessory ... or a hair bow for adults or little ones or a bow tie for a baby or toddler!

Button earrings are quickly becoming a new fad ... And, I am a fan. It took me a little while to jump on board, but how fun are these. You can easily match them to anything ... as in my case, I made them to match Lucy's bow. Our outfits are changing slightly tomorrow and so are my button earrings! :)

If you would like to check out these button earrings for yourself... just search Frilly Farm Designs on Facebook and there are many to choose from! If you don't see a fabric you love, just message me ... I am sure we can come up with something awesome!

See what I mean about not looking? This is mild compared to what it is normally like...
Normally she is yawning or has her eyes shut.

Almost there!

Iced In

Ice days are kinda like snow days but not as fun because no one wants an "ice" ball thrown at them... Or make "ice" angels or basically anything fun outside. You can't even go for a walk because its all ice. Poor Lucy is definitely not a fan of this ice. I am typically not a fan either. However, today I didn't mind it too much. I spent my day sleeping in, editing photos, making new jewelry, dinner and Christmas candy and drinking apple cider.

I even ventured outside to take a few pictures of the ice. It is kinda pretty, if you like that sort of thing!

My mom first made this Christmas candy last year. I'm not usually a candy-eater, which is why when she told me what was in this candy I was sure I would haaaaate it! But, she convinced me to try it and I almost regret trying it now. Just kidding. I don't regret it at all! This recipe is one that my great-grandma made my mom when she was little! If you like chow mien noodles, butterscotch and peanut butter then you will love this candy! Look for the recipe tomorrow on the blog!

Encouragement

Since opening Frilly Farm Designs, I have been meaning to update my blog more. However, that hasn't happened ... until yesterday that is.

I went to drop off an order to one of my oldest friends. Rachel and I have seriously been friends since birth and after a little encouragement from her (and her boss), I have decided to get back to blogging more consistently or I am going to try to do better at least! I can't promise you that my post will always be that interesting, because ... well, my life isn't always that interesting, but I promise to at least try to be entertaining.

{Disclaimer, there will be plenty of pictures of my dog and sunsets. Consider this your warning.}

In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, below you will find a true gem! This would be Rachel and I in 7th grade and our first year of basketball. Please, don't ask about our season. It wasn't pretty! ;)

I am working on getting an ETSY shop open for Frilly Farm Designs, but until then I will be periodically posting new designs and custom orders on here. You can also find more updates on the Facebook page and Instagram page: frillyfarmdesigns!
